As I was reading through some news today I stumbled across this article. Not only does it have quotes from the mkae of Minimonos but it also has news of some upcoming features.
First Membership will be coming for only $3.50 a month starting in April!
Second Groups/Tribes will be able to be created in the future!

Here are some more details about Mini and Maxi Monkey Mods. This is a really long blog post, as there is a lot of important information to tell you about!
Maxi Monkey Mod Responsibilities
The responsibilities of a Maxi Monkey Mod will be:You need to become a Mini Monkey Mod before you can apply to become a Maxi Monkey Mod.
- Greeting new players and helping them with your knowledge about MiniMonos
- Letting the MiniMonos team know if you see any inappropriate talk
- Telling the MiniMonos team about cool and funny stuff monkeys are doing (we love that)
- Chatting and helping to make it fun for other monkeys that you’re with
- Inviting other people to come and play on MiniMonos
- Attending parties when you can
- Giving feedback about good ideas you think of for MiniMonos
- Letting the MiniMonos team know if there are any tech problems or glitches
Mini Monkey Mod missions
Your Mini Monkey Mod mission card will be released on Sunday, Feb 21st. This will show you the scores of the missions you’ve been doing and how much you still have to do.
There are 6 Mini Monkey Mod missions:
1. You must be a Top Banana. Any time you don’t keep up your Top Banana status, you stop becoming a Mini Monkey Mod.
2. 10 people who have signed up, have said that you are the monkey who introduced them to MiniMonos. This will be calculated from January 29.
3. You must have logged in 10 different days in a month. This will be calculated from Feb 1.
4. You must have spent 20 active hours, doing stuff on MiniMonos Island in a month. This will be calculated from Feb 1.
5. You must have at least 30 other monkeys who have accepted you as a buddy. This does NOT mean go pester monkeys! :-) It means be nice so they want to be your friend! This will be calculated since you joined MiniMonos.
6. You must have had a two-way message with at least 20 different buddies. This means that they have answered a message you gave them, or you answered a message they gave you. This will be calculated since you joined MiniMonos.
Mini Monkey Mod rewards
1. Once you are a Mini Monkey Mod you can start your team training and will be able to apply to become a Maxi Monkey Mod. We will let you know later what your team training and missions will be to become a Maxi Monkey Mod.
2. It will show on your status and print cards that you are now a Mini Monkey Mod.
3. You will have a Mini Monkey Mod star beside your name.
4. You will get a very cool, exclusive Mini Monkey Mod treehouse item.

So basically there are three steps to becoming Maxi Monkey Mod. First you must be a Top Banana, then a Mini Monkey Mod, and finally a Maxi Monkey Mod.

Woohoo! So many of you have been asking us about becoming an ambassador for MiniMonos!
We're glad to let you know that we can tell you all about it tomorrow!
What we can say right now are these things:
1. It will be a 3-stage process. First, you need to be a Top Banana.
2. Second, you will need to fulfill some tasks to become a Mini Monkey Mod. (That's like an ambassador in training). Your Mini Monkey Mod task card will be released on Sunday, February 21. However, you will be able to start doing the tasks to earn it before then. What you do this month counts towards your card.
3. Third, once you are a Mini Monkey Mod, we will let you know the tasks you'll need to do to become a Maxi Monkey Mod. (That's like being a full Ambassador).
We will tell you about the responsibilities of a Mini Monkey Mod, and the tasks you need to do, tomorrow. You will need to work hard, though. We're not saying this will be easy!

Another Perk of the Banana Card
Hey Monkeys,
Today while chatting with a friend I learned another secret of the Banana Card. When you are in Private Chat with someone you can use whatever words you like! But don't go crazy! If you use any inappropriate words your chat will be sent to Minimonos for review. I love this feature because it makes it so much easier to talk with your friends!

ColorMe Store is Released!
Hey Monkeys!
The color me store is officially released! The sign outside is changed from "Open Soon" to "Try 4 Free"

Once you go inside you can change your color for free! There are also some new colors out. Like the cool Dark Green I used to model the process for you guys. 
When you first go in you must pick a color off of the dashboard then hit the Green button.

After you get showered lightly with paint the big stuff comes! Here is me getting covered with sticky paint!
I would reccomend going to the store right now! after a while this service might not be free. Remember to check out some of the new colors that are being offered. My favorite colors are Green, Purple, and White. Whats yours?

New Updates!
Hey Monkeys! There are tons of new updates! First off there are two new things on your player card. The first is that there is a new print feature on it!
Also there is a new log-in screen! It has a cool new remember feature.
And we finally have a map to navigate the Island! If you look at the map the island is in the shape of a monkey head. Cool!
Next there is a ton of new rooms! I took a picture of all of them for you.
The second thing is that there is a new banana card update! There is now more things to do!

How to Jump

Wanna learn how to jump? It is very easy all you have to do is press the space bar. But here is a cool trick: When someone is sleepwalking, jump. Anyone who is sleepwalking in the room will jump too! Here is a picture of me using this trick on Sathvik

How to Change Your Color
Hey Monkeys!
Have you seen the monkeys on the Island that are different colors? Well to get those colors you must talk to a member of the staff. You can either talk to a staff member on the game or put a message into the feedback bar. Either way your color will be changed eventually. You will not change instantly so be patient!
The feed back bar is located at the top of your screen.
PS: A barber shop will be coming out soon and you will be able to change your color there!

What to do if you are new

Well then you must complete your banana card! To get to your banana card you click on your player then click "Banana Card." You will see that there are three things that you must do. First off you must invite five people to Minimonos.
Click on the buddy icon and enter the email address of five people you know. There done with the first step! Unfortunately it is also the easiest step.
Next you must refer one person. When the make an account they must insert your name into the referral box.
The next step is recycling. Travel to your Treehouse and click on the recycling bin. There you must recycle 550 items. This step will take a long time. Good Luck!

If you have made it this far give yourself a pat on the back! All that recycling is hard! Now you must go to the cliff (or your treehouse) and play the flying game. You must collect 300 clouds! This step is also very hard. Just keep trying until you make it!
Next head on over to the lagoon. There you will be doing some more cleanup. This time you will be taking trash out of the lagoon.
When you get near a trash item press spacebar and a balloon will attach to it and float to the top. Once it floats to the top you must push it on to the conveyor belt with your head. But don't stay underwater too long!
If you clean your lagoon everyday more sea life will appear! It takes about four days to get to turtles.
Now you are done! Go to your banana card and click "Score My Card." After you do that you will be wearing your new T-shirt!
